UK Photo Shoots: Earlier this year we got to travel to Em's mother country for the U.K. release of the The Big Bang. To our utter delight, this necessitated us posing for numerous photo shoots. To our utter horror, this meant numerous photographers who were used to working with "professionals" asking us to "give me your sexy look" or "smolder for the camera." March for Choice in DC: Just when you'd all but forgotten about the March for Women's Lives, the one attended by more than a million (1,150,000) people from 60+ countries on April 26, 2004 who stood up for reproductive freedom, we finally get around to posting our pictures from that historic day. We chartered a 25-passenger motorcoach, optimistically calling it the Em & Lo Party Bus. It turned out to be more bus than party, but as far as we could tell, a good time was had by all (despite the lack of back-row make-out sessions and mooning of other drivers on the highway). We handed out
info packets on abortion rights, blank signs for everyone to decorate with
slogans, whistles & noise makers, water, wine, apples, Condommania condoms
and amazing gift bags from Toys in Babeland. Every bag included lube, latex gloves, condoms, a cock ring, AND a vibrator! The good ladies at Babeland know it's of utmost importance to keep women's reproductive freedoms alive and well! The Big Sex Drive: We hit the road in the summer of 2003 for a five week 15-city book tour for The Big Bang. We set up a "5 cent Sex Advice" table at various national landmarks, performed our Airlines skit in bars, screened sex-related shorts, and collected invaluable sex tips from everyone we met along the way. The 'Sex Ed for Grown Ups' Tour: We hit the road in the fall of 2004 for a six-city tour presented by NARAL Pro-Choice America Foundation. Our hour-long show redefined the term "reproductive rights" to encompass all of the most important personal issues facing adults today, from anatomy to pro-choice activism, from safer sex to the Supreme Court, from gay rights to gadgets kindly supplied by Toys in Babeland. Skits, footage of our impertinent on-the-street interviews, a music video starring God's Pottery, audience participation (with prizes), live Q&As and free condoms! Each event was free, open to the 18+ public, and hopefully taught people something new. Website with photos is currently down, sorry. |
